Frank W. Mestek President
Frank began his career in construction at the age of 14 with his father’s company, Bell Oil Products and Asphalt Paving. He worked with the paving crew during the summers and delivered fuel oil after school and on weekends. Upon graduation from high school, he went to work for Rock Road Construction Company. In 1972, he returned to the family business. After six more years with Bell Oil Products and Asphalt Paving, Frank decided to start up his own company, originally named Bell Excavating. In 1981, Frank incorporated his business as Bell Land Improvement, Inc. His experience and knowledge have shaped Bell Land Improvement into the respected and stable enterprise that it remains today.
Wayne Wall Operations Manager
Wayne has been working in the construction industry in the Chicago land area for over 25 years. His wide range of experience covers residential subdivisions, commercial/industrial projects, golf courses, municipal and school construction. Wayne also has a background in IDOT, Illinois Tollway and county road projects. The scheduling of company resources is Wayne’s primary responsibilities, assuring the timely response with complete customer satisfaction.
Jeff Siemon Vice President of Sales
A graduate of Illinois State University in 1980, Jeff joined Bell Land Improvement in June 2006 as Vice President of Sales. Jeff is primarily responsible for sales, project management, estimating, recruiting, training, and financial reporting. Jeff brings 25 years of construction and earthwork experience to Bell Land Improvement, working seven years on the general contracting side and eighteen years in excavation and land development field. His experience includes government & municipal work, school construction, IDOT & Illinois Toll way, commercial and industrial construction, health care, golf courses, quarry overburden projects, design build projects and residential subdivisions
Paul Miller Senior Project Manager
A graduate of Carthage College with a degree in Business Administration in 1987, Paul has 14 years of earthwork construction/estimating/management experience in the Northern Illinois area. He is responsible for projects from conceptual design budgeting through project closeout. His experience includes Municipal Public Works, school construction, commercial and industrial construction, golf courses, and residential subdivisions.
Brian Ziller General Superintendent
Brian has been working in the construction industry in the Chicago land area for over 30 years. He began his career in 1978 as an operator. In 1992 Brian joined Bell Land Improvement as a foreman. He served as a foreman for the next six years until he was named a mass grading general superintendent in 1999. In his current role, he works closely with customers and applies his understanding of mass grading work to quickly and efficiently deliver a finished project that exceeds expectations.
Thomas J. Lawrence General Superintendent
Tom Lawrence has 25 years of service in the construction industry. He joined Bell Land Improvement in the Spring of 1989 and oversees the commercial/industrial division. Tom works with project managers and foremen to effectively complete projects in a timely, cost-conscious manner.
Janice A. Skerski Corporate Secretary/Office Manager
Janice joined the Bell Land Improvement family in the Spring of 1989. Over the past nineteen years, she has had the opportunity to work in every position within the office and assumed the role of Corporate Secretary/Office Manager in January 1999.
